The Club has some friendly contests running and we encourage all members to join in.
Monday Night Net, Contesting to find the FOX! and our club Distance records for VHF/UHF & HF.
We often enjoy competing against our brother club in the BARC - Hervey Bay Interclub Challenge.
Club Distance Records
We'll consider distance records for any Frequency or Mode. Follow this link to our current club Member Records: VHF, UHF or HF Distance Records
The categories are Home station, Mobile or Handheld.
This contest acknowledges that our members enjoy a wide range of interest in the Amateur Field.
HF contesting appeals to those who go fishing and camping, they now have another excuses to also pack their radio gear as well.
Fox Hunts - finding the hidden transmitter
The FOX transmits on 145.700 Mhz and is active at different times of the day.
If you think you've found the Fox, contact the contest manager... if you're right... keep quiet [allow others to find] if wrong... you will receive a reply to "KEEP HUNTING".
Point are awarded for the first 3 finders; 3 points for 1st; 2 points for 2nd and 1 point for 3rd and prizes are awarded at the end of the year.
So there you go... keep an ear out for when the Fox is deployed and happy hunting.

We all compete for the highest score in the Harry Angel Sprint contest and then the two club fight it out for a great Trophy!
